Colbeh has been a New York institution for almost 30 years, and their claim to fame extends beyond their exceptional kosher menu; this restaurant also serves some of the city's greatest Persian cuisine. Colbeh has two more sites on Long Island, one in Great Neck and the other in Roslyn, and caters to the city's huge Iranian population as well as a bevvy of other fans who seek the tender, juicy kabobs (get the king combo to experience a variety of them) and the excellent tahdig. Make sure to smother the latter in khoresh lapeh or ghormeh sabzi (herbed stew) (a red split pea stew).
